Job Duties

• Oversee internal audit testing procedures that support external auditors under the direct assistance model, ensuring compliance with PCAOB standards

• Act as primary liaison with external auditors for direct assistance activities

• Manage SOX testing responsibilities, including planning, execution, documentation review, and adherence to methodology

• Monitor progress, budgets, and issue escalation for both SOX and direct assistance workstreams

• Support additional operational, compliance, and financial audit projects outside of peak SOX cycles

• Drive innovation in the audit function by leveraging data analytics, and predictive auditing methodologies

• Maintain expertise in accounting, auditing, and regulatory requirements to ensure high-quality audit execution

• Supervise, coach, and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• CPA required

• CIA, CFE, or similar certifications preferred

• 4+ years of external audit and assurance experience, with public accounting firm or large public company background strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, PCAOB standards, SOX 404 requirements, and related regulatory frameworks

• Proven project management and leadership skills with the ability to deliver complex audit engagements on time

• Technologically adept, with experience in data analytics and emerging tools to improve audit quality

• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
