Job Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional to manage key financial tasks and ensure compliance within a fast-paced retail setting. The role involves maintaining accurate records, supporting audits, and contributing to process enhancements that streamline finance workflows.

Job Duties:
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Prepare and review financial statements including balance sheets and income reports
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities such as journal entries and accruals
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responses
• Identify opportunities to optimize accounting procedures and systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver timely financial information

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years in accounting, focusing on ledger management and reporting
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools; Power BI experience a plus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High integrity and professionalism with confidential data

Preferences:
• CPA preferred but not mandatory
• Experience in retail, public accounting, or public company reporting preferable
• Familiarity with systems like Island Pacific or AS400 useful
