Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Accounting oversees the accounting operations, provides technical expertise on complex issues, and partners with internal teams and outside advisors. This role focuses on process optimization, technology integration, and maintaining compliance standards, all while fostering a positive work culture and supporting change initiatives.

Job Duties:
• Lead and develop accounting staff, ensuring timely financial reporting
• Review financial statements, schedules, and reconciliations for monthly and annual closes
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls, including SOX compliance
• Manage external filings including SEC reports and tax returns
• Oversee equity award transactions, including issuance and reporting
• Partner with external tax firms to ensure accurate and timely filings for federal, state, and local taxes

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, CPA required
• 6+ years in management roles within accounting or auditing
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax processes, including sales and property taxes
• Experience implementing new financial technologies and improving workflows
• Ability to lead, coach, and influence teams effectively
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Preferences:
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Background in retail or consumer goods is a plus
