ICX Group is seeking Director of Accounting for a rapidly expanding mid-sized manufacturing organization based in Alameda County, CA. This newly created leadership role will serve as the company’s top accounting authority, reporting directly to the CFO, with a strong focus on team development, technical accounting excellence, process optimization, and strategic partnership to support both organic growth and ongoing M&A activity.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert on business initiative projects and work closely with VPs, PMs and executives in finance, operations and accounting
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and controls and help streamline processes
• Ensure accurate month end close and financial reporting
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure successful audit compliance
• Coach, mentor and manage accountants

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, CPA strongly preferred
• Experience with software implementations, migrations, and automations
• Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner
• Strong leadership experience: mentoring, supporting, and developing teams
