ICX BROUGHT  McKenzi Chiocca onto the staffing team – and she’s blazing a trail!

We had the opportunity to chat with McKenzi and had her to share a little about her career path, goals for her staffing team and a few fun things about herself.  Read on to learn more about this valuable member of the team!

What attracted you to the recruiting industry?

What attracted me to the recruiting industry was that you can not only help others, but I can be successful by talking and being social. Basically, being myself can help me grow in my career.

What is the most rewarding part of being on ICX Group’s staffing team for you so far?

The most rewarding part is finding someone a position and they get the job. They’re so grateful and excited at the same time. I love being able to find somebody a position that fits them so perfectly and make a real difference in their lives. Working at a place you enjoy is so important. We spend 8 plus hours every day working so it’s super important.

How were you introduced to the ICX Group?

My previous recruiter / friend Lauren who used to work for ICX told me I would be great at recruiting, and she thought I would be the perfect fit. I came and met the team and knew I would love working here.

If someone asked you to describe ICX Group in three words – what would they be?

Fun, honest, hardworking.

What would be your biggest piece of professional advice you give someone looking to develop themselves and make them more attractive to recruiters?

Make sure your resume really highlights the most important aspects of your skill set. You want to be able to show someone what you bring to the table and a great resume is really the best way to sell yourself to anyone career wise.

Fun Facts about McKenzi

What’s your favorite thing to do in Jacksonville?

The Murray Hill arts market or even the Riverside arts market is always a great time on Saturdays and Sundays. Lemon bar is also an awesome spot to hangout and get some good drinks while you watch the waves.

What did you dream of being when you grew up?

I always was really intrigued by comedy (I’m still a huge standup lover) and was positive that one day I was going to be a standup comedian. Now I can say that I would much rather watch some of the greats than be the one on stage.

What was your favorite concert?

Two years ago I saw George Strait at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. A group of us took a party bus down from Jacksonville, it was an entire bus filled with cowboy hats and boots and good times. That was the best concert I have ever been to.

If you could have any superhero power, what power would you have and why?

The ability to learn, understand and speak any language instantly; I have seen and heard so many languages that are so interesting to me. It would be so cool to speak and understand anyone no matter where you travel.
